Tofino

Canada has its fair share of marine gems. Amongst those are the great fruitful waters off Tofino, in British Columbia. It is also home of Pelagic's Capt Josh Temple who spends many summer days sifting through the superb Salmon and Halibut fishery. Conditions this time of can vary but are often as prime as it gets. Cool comfortable days with calm water making BC a great destination for anglers sweating bullets down south.

Josh shares a top secret report from the past couple weeks of action...

Well the last few days since i blew up my motor have been hectic. Thankfully they had another F225X in stock and i was only down for around 24 hrs. The Hooked On Miracles tournament this past weekend was awesome - thanks very much to Carmen and Allen for inviting me to fish it!!! 20 anglers raised over $200K for the BC Children's Hospital and yours truly took 2nd overall and largest daily on sunday. Congrats to Shawn Hilliard for the winning 28.5 #er on Saturday!!! Looking forward to doing this tournament again next season!

Got out this afternoon with the girls to complete the break in on my new motor. Well we just HAD to drop a few lines of course!!! Nothing like leaving the dock at 10:30 am and coming home a few hours later with limits all around. Salmon fishing like this is what we come all the way back to Tofino for in the summertime!!!! Awesome fishing!!!!

Josh on the Halibut bite ---------

Lots of big halibut biting out there. Last few days produced a 96, 82, 79, and a bunch between 40 and 60#'s. Daily limits of salmon as well. Sooooo nice to be up here in Tofino for the summer!!!

Well the bite is just getting better and better up here amigos!!! Hot, sunny, flat calm water and a seemingly endless supply of fish, if there's a more enjoyable combination than that, well I guess i don't need to know about it!

Tofino is a secluded mecca deep within British Columbia, yet very much near the heart of Vancouver. It offers a plethora of outdoor opportunities including kayaking, hiking, surfing, and some of the best fishing the great north has to offer. We would like to thank Capt.
